Was flash running at the moment of freeze? Your running Kubuntu 9.10? I
have not had a freeze in a long time now. 9.10 is in alpha-release, so
that is a hard one to debug. We limit the bug to 8.10 and 9.04 releases.
But please continue contribute with information.

Hi,
I am having the same issue. System hangs one/two times a day for a week
or so. Every time caps lock led was blinking after the hang except the
last one. I am attaching my messages log and it seems that it is related
to WIFI Adapter as last logs before hang were about that device.

Hi,
I've been using jaunty alpha 4, for some time, and I did not experience any
crash till now (which used to occur in 8.10, once every approx 24-48 hours of
uptime).
I've been booting up using an external hard drive, but I think that wouldn't
make any difference.
I'm attaching the pic of the
Hi Venkatesh,
Would you be able to capture the kernel panic you are seeing? Even if
you have to take a digital photo of your screen and attach it here to
this report that would be great. Also, in case you'd be willing to
test, the latest pre-release of Jaunty 9.04 (currently Alpha3) is
available

Hi,
Same problem, i386, started a thread here
http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/pipermail/ilugc/2009-January/046029.html ,
which unfortunately became a flame war. Would be nice if you could read
the thread.
I'd be trying the kernel.panic methods and nmi_watchdog=1 methods, and
will let you know.

Hi mbernasocchi,
The 2.6.27-11 kernel is currently in intrepid-proposed, I'd encourage
you to test that first. If you still experience lockups, then you may
want to try booting with the "nmi_watchdog=1" kernel parameter as
explained more here:

Hi mbernasocchi,
Do you notice anything like a kernel panic show up? Regardless, you
might want to try the 2.6.27-10 kernel that is currently in intrepid-
proposed and being considered as an update. To test this kernel do the
following:
1) cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d
2) create a file "intrepid-pr
