Sorry for the long time (haven't had time to test on the laptop with the
bug since it has been in use for school). The bug still persists in
Karmic in the way described in the bug description so I have attached
the debug info from apport-collect as requested.

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
