present. Hibernations works well with kernel 2.6.28-8-generic.

Just in case you'd be willing to test, the most recent pre-release of
Jaunty 9.04 (currently Alpha4) contains a 2.6.28 based kernel -
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/jaunty/ . It would be interesting to
know if this issue remains. Unfortunately you can only test suspend via
a LiveCD, not hiber
I tested hibernation a few times and I found another problem. My laptop
boots fine, enters GUI but it freezes several minutes after use. The
mouse stops moving, Ctrl-Alt-Fx and Ctrl-Alt-Bkspc do not work. Any
ideas how to diagnose what happens?

For me, it doesn't work again on 2.6.27-11-generic (stops at disabling
non-boot CPUs). Probably it works only part of the time. Does anyone

repositories I have). The bug is partially fixed. It loads the suspended
memory, then I get a massive 15-30s disk access period (I can really

It seems this is the same problem. I definitely remember hibernation was
working before I upgraded to Intrepid.

I have the same problem with HP TC1100 and can give some additional information.
1. This is caused by the update from Hardy to Intrepid, kernel 2.6.27-8-generic
2. /sys/power/pm_test succeeds up to core
3. The computer hibernates fine but doesn't come back. I debugged the boot
