I have no digicam at hand right now, but what I can say is, that the screen
blacks out right after the message: 'starting Gnome Display Manager...' but
also some steps before, the 'OK' is missing. I also tried it on an external
screen. The log of the nongraphical boot was too fast for me...

As it seems you have different hardware than the other bug reports you
mentioned I think it is appropriate that you opened a new report. We
can easily mark bugs as duplicates later on.
With the Alpha5 LiveCD, can you remove the 'quiet' and 'splash' boot
options when you boot. Do you se
