I have tested gnome-system-tools_2.20.0-0ubuntu2 in gutsy for the situation
described in comment 57 (presence of domain users managed by winbind).
As expected, the situation is not changed, since this is to be considered like
a second test case.

I think dapper is really not affected, thus I close the dapper task.

The very same dpatch also applies to Feisty. I tested that the erroneous

Changing users randomly affects other users and group me
I tried to reproduce this bug with the dapper version without success.
Dapper has quite a different architecture, there is no sytem-tools-
backends yet, and all changes done to users-admin are written to the PAM
files atomically at program exit. Also, the code is quite different, so

** Description changed:
Impact:
gnome-system-tools does not keep its internal model of users and groups
consistent with the real world in /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, and /etc/group.
This leads to errors like deleting a different user than the one you chose in
the UI, dropping unrelated users
** Summary changed:
- Adding a user to a group modifies other users' groups and passwords
+ Changing users randomly affects other users and group memberships
** Description changed:
- Nothing to do with 3270 but couldnt post with real problem package which is
