Installing 0.8 from upstream is not supported on Ubuntu 0.7 is Hardys
version im thinking i wont baackport this until next release of sunbird.
since Tony has not answered my question i have to assume hes using Hardy
with upstreams version of sunbird/lightning. If you want 0.8 for Hardy

The Generic PCL6/XL pxlmono works great in color, in 1200DPI and very
quickly.
So it seems that using this driver would be a perfect solution. So far,
I don't see any drawback. (any reason why using Postscript would be
better than this ?)
