visible.

I have this problem with OO V2.4.1, Ubuntu Hardy 8.04.2.
Create a new document in OO.
Save as HTML.
Click View->Web Layout
Click View : 'View HTML source' menu option is not available.

Show HTML Source option also appears if I start OpenOffice then use
File->Open to edit an existing .html file.

Confirmed on openoffice.org 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2. It appears that the Show
HTML Source option only appears when you create a new HTML document it
doesn't show up as an option at least when opening the attached HTML
document.

Here is what I get when I click View->WebLayout. I am still puzzled as
to why I do not see the html source text. Any clues?

I cannot reproduce the problem you describe. If I load an html document,
I am in Web Layout Mode. If I go to View->HTML Source, it shows me the
HTML source of my document.
Could you please clarify the exact steps you take in order
