No: this disappeared in one of the last few updates before final
release. I think it was an xorg problem, but I have no direct proof of
that. Can be closed I reckon unless there are others still suffering
it, but there's no evidence of that here.

Some things to add.
Ctrl+Shift+Backspace works under normal circumstances.
When the machine has crashed, the keyboard is completely unresponsive. Caps
Lock doesn't work.
Under normal circumstances I can ssh into the machine. Today when it
crashed after about 8 hours use, I could ping and receiv
I've just discovered that alt+ctrl+f keys have become unbound somewhere
in the last few days. That could explain why I can't switch to console.
Haven't tried ctrl+alt+backspace yet.
Maybe xorg has changed.
