This is not limited to Dual Head. A similar problem happens to me on my
laptop with no other monitors plugged in or configured. I'm using the
recent Ubuntu 8.04 Release Candidate (fresh install). I have desktop
effects disabled, using an Intel 855 graphics card with the default
Intel driver. A
