Hi, proposed repo includes now the latest kernel and libv4l packages
that probably solve this issue.
Is possible for some of you to test proposed repo kernel and libv4l in
order to validate this?
also if this is not the case can you provide this info as separate
attachmenteS?

This seems somehow similar like bug #290506, or at least that the
Stephan kernel would solve it.
Sadly we're waiting for those patches to be uploaded to Stephan PPA or
directly to -proposed.
So let's wait a bit so we can test when the kernel is released.

I have tested the camera as part of a review for the Acer 6293 for a school
here and came up with the following with the cam.
8.04 Freezes the system. (But all video froze, even effects in totem when
playing music.) Required a hard reboot.
8.10 Works very well in xawtv but in cheese it doesn't s
i have also a 064e:a103 Suyin Corp.
it works fine when i test it with xawtv but with camorama i cant get to work. i
get an error about /dev/video0 coulnt connect even if i run it as root.
The hang problem with xawtv didnt occure with me. i am having intrepid.
