We decided to take the driver with the kernel package and so this bug is no
longer needed, I'm closing it now. linux-mtk for Noble is still working in
progress, as it depends on the BSP from our partner, which still needs more
time to become stable.

The SRU team was asked to consider this. We have discussed this amongst
the SRU team.
It is a longstanding policy position of the Ubuntu project that hardware
enablements are only permitted in stable releases if newer releases are
also enabled, to avoid breaking users in hardware support on upgrad
The fact this is limited to jammy makes it difficult to sponsor this, as
I can't simply upload it to the development series. I'm going to remove
ubuntu-sponsors from the subscription list as I don't think there's much
