The fact this is limited to jammy makes it difficult to sponsor this, as I can't simply upload it to the development series. I'm going to remove ubuntu-sponsors from the subscription list as I don't think there's much I (or another sponsor) can do with this, yet.
For the time being it's probably best off living in its PPA (which might be semi-officially recommended to users via the jammy release notes, for instance, with appropriate caveats around support expectations and what will happen on dist-upgrade).
