This is not a duplicate of bug #174191, which addresses the high CPU
usage. This bug is about the default saver, which should be "blank". I
am pretty sure it is "blank" by default though. Please reopen if it is
not "blank" by default in Ubuntu 8.04.

The bug is that the screensavers use way too many resources and send the
CPU usage to 100%. And if the end user does not monitor his system CPU
then the screensavers prevent copy commands and other such opera
