@enri1985 i don't think this is ever going to be fixed or backported.
addid tty is not that big of a deal so you shouldn't be to be afraid of that
as the actually fix that they should implement is actaully adding syslog to the
tty group :)
so it wil not really matter if you are going to do it manu
i can confirm this same issue, but i am afraid of adding syslog to the
tty group... any news on this?

Seeing this regression occur on noble on GCE. Not sure it's correlated
but the issue appeared right after logrotate ran.
