My temporary workaround for this annoying issue is to install Ubuntu on
a new physical disk, then copy the installed Ubuntu to my RAID /dev/md*
partition(s) using GParted. Shutdown the computer and physically
disconnect the new physical disk. Power on the computer still with
Ubuntu live disk, and
Very annoying, wanted to go with a fresh install of 24.04 on new server
but lack of /dev/md* recognition forces me to go 22.04. You would think
8 months into it that this would be fixed.

Confirming report. I have try with 22.04 lts and everything so smooth. I
thing may be something worng with new flatter installer because in 24.04
lts live raid array still appears

Confirming report. I can select any physical device partitions to format
and mount, but /dev/md* devices are not listed. The "Next" button is
grayed out, the upper left X button cancels the installation, and the
only remaining option is "Back" to select a different kind of
installation. My physical
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
