I did a fresh install of Hardy the other day, and successfully installed
Flash from Synaptic. I guess that whatever was causing this issue was
cleared up before the release. Perhaps this bug is only affecting those
dist-upgrading from the alpha releases? If that's the case, this bug

I had this flash problem for quite a while, until I tried msiebuhr's
solution (sudo cp /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so
/usr/lib/firefox-addons/plugins/). Now flash pages seem to work great.
