At last I've managed to know what my problem is. My problem is concerned
with IPOD SHUFFLE + USB (it's not the problem of ubuntu, I have exactly
the same behaivior in Windows).
Sometime when connecting ipod shuffle with pc (it's using the same
headphone jack for usb connection) it's easy to touch
Now I'm using "acpi=off" option and I havn't any system crash for 4
days. Waiting for patch or solution...

I don't what I did, but my computer doesn't crash anymore...
It could be dist-upgrade that fix the problem or maybe the motherboard bios
updating from F10 to F11 or unknown stuff.

Have same issue, but my OS is Ubuntu 7.10 x86
my configuration:

asus 8600gts
core 2 duo 8200
Sometimes in 2-4 days my computer crashes, monitor turns off, but
keyboard and mouse continue to "shine" but don't react on any actions.

Ok, well after other tests, It's certainly not flashplugin-nonfree, It crashes
without the package installed...
I really don't know how can I find the problem because when It crash I can't do
anything else than manual reboot,
I have no information printed on the screen because it's black and off,

Well, 4 days without any crash, I think it's related to flashplugin-nonfree
so...
When I say "related" I mean the problem source is maybe not this flash plugin
but something appening when it runs...
I may reinstall it check if crashes continues or if it was another thing ...

desinstalled it and see if it continues to crash...
