I tried to install a package with the
nvidia-340_340.108-4ppanoble9.2_amd64.deb controller on Linux Mint 22.1
XFCE because it is for noble. Everything went well, the black screen
remained after the restart and it was not even possible to start tty1,
tty2 ...
Then in Recovery Mode I was looking for
After upgrading to 24.04, I also have black screen on a 2009 mac mini (9400)
To be precise, It freezes on a distorted NVIDIA logo, and Xorg runs on 95% cpu
constantly.
I see no errors in Xorg or xsession-errors, although, this one is a
little suspicious in boot log:

Upgraded 22.04 to 24.04 to a black screen...
Xubuntu 22.04 5.15.0 was working fine with the Butterfly (kelebek333)
nvidia-legacy package installed. Xubuntu 24.04 6.8.0 crashes on boot.
Output from journalctl:
kernal stack frame pointer at [address] in nvidia-smi:798 has bad value

24.04, kernel 6.8) a Nvidia 340.108 update ... or I (and many others)
have to shredder my 'mature' but still well running Lenovo ThinkPad
hardware. Thanks for your great job on this driver the last years!
