I'm sure the highlight *is* perfectly visible, perhaps for a vast
majority of users. But not for me. (And I doubt I'm alone.)
I agree that orange would be jarring. For me the highlight in previous
versions worked perfectly well.
Is there a workaround, an easy way an individual user can override t
Update: we try to evaluate if we one of our previous designs can fix
this in an annoying way

IMO it is perfectly visible as it is (20.04 + 20.10)
We could make it orange, but this is something that we try to avoid, since the
ubuntu orange has some "burning" character that can become annoying. Also the
grey is a design change that we've successfully ported to upstream. If no one
disagree

highlight is so subtle that one can easily miss it.
