Ah. Dont worry with me. Due to bigoted attitudes like these, I already migrated away to Arch from Ubuntu. In Arch, I can still fully use sc- controller with pylibacl (which is required for newer games that don't run on 18.04 anymore like Planetary Annihilation Titans) or even choose later versions.

according to the python policy, the naming for python doc package is "python-$name-doc", but with python2 going away the module for python3 is in the package "python3-$name". As such, you can find the python module you are looking for in the python3-pylibacl package. This is considered a support

Python 2 is going away in Debian, so the plain python-pylibacl package went away a while back. I don't know what's the story for Ubuntu, but I suspect very much the same. Either stay on old distro, or help migrate the upstream (kozec) to Python 3. Alternatively, install an older version from pypi
