Thomas, why don't you use the pm-utils? Try to suspend with "sudo pm-
suspend". If this doesn't work either, have a look into the log files
(/var/log/pm-suspend.log).
In the log you attached on 1.2.2008 it says:

ram all the way through, so the line should have read: "When selecting Suspend
from the log-off menu...".

(Suspend to RAM) or issues with Hibernate (Suspend to Disk). The two
are different things. Your initial description mentioned "When

Suspend worked on this hardware in Edgy and Feisty (as I remember), but stopped
working in Gutsy.
I hoped it would be fixed in Hardy, but this far it does not work -- hence this
bug-report.
