Hi Leann, Thank you for keeping an eye on this annoying bug. I did the upgrade to 2.6.27: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -a Linux helios 2.6.27-2-generic #1 SMP Thu Aug 28 17:20:02 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
Unfortunately the problem remains, my system does not suspend. Choosing "Suspend" from the log-off menu just brings up the password-window (as if "lock screen" was selected), as originally posted. >From the command line I get: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/acpi# ./sleep.sh force ifdown: interface eth0 not configured ifdown: interface wlan0 not configured ifdown: interface wmaster0 not configured * Shutting down ALSA... [ OK ] * Saving the system clock ./sleep.sh: line 39: echo: write error: Broken pipe /etc/acpi/resume.d/17-video-restore.sh: line 5: /var/lib/acpi-support/vbestate: No such file or directory Function not supported * Setting the system clock Ignoring unknown interface eth0=eth0.
