I can confirm the bug is present with linux-image- extra-4.4.0-22-generic. But of course I could give a try with the latest upstream builds. But I recently upgrade to Xenial (16.04 LTS), and I do not see uptreams 4.6 kernels for that version. -- You received this bug notification because you are

For documentation purposes, using the default drivers (so doing sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-intel xserver-xorg-video-intel-dbg) let you use the laptop, although with precarious graphical conditions. So the bug is actually in the combination of i915 drivers with kernel linux-image-4.2.0
