This bug is very annoying.
A temporary workaround is to have a file open from that hard drive. This
will make the system deny Amarok request to unmount the drive.
For example: if I play music from the USB HDD with another player (or watch a
movie) and I close Amarok, the drive is NOT unmounted.
Confirmed here also. Amarok unmounts external harddrive formatted FAT32
when amarok closes. Not very nice bug.

I have the same problem in KUbuntu when I invoke some KDE programs
through kdesu (e.g. adept or ksystemlog). In this case hal unmounts the
drives on behalf of root.

I confirm this bug also on my computer. I've always used Amarok with my
music on a FAT32 usb drive, but on gutsy it unmounts the drive when I
close it. Removing the drive from the Media Devices configuration
didn't solve the problem.

Same with me. When I close Amarok it unmounts my external harddisk where
