I confirm this bug also on my computer. I've always used Amarok with my music on a FAT32 usb drive, but on gutsy it unmounts the drive when I close it. Removing the drive from the Media Devices configuration didn't solve the problem.
PD: I have some problems with the amarok menus also, that are most surely unrelated, but I thought I'd mention them in case someone else here is having the same problems.
