Andrew please file a seperate bug for your crash report. only one crash
report can be handled per bug. please report the bug using apport so it
attaches automagicly

I'm having the same problem, only mine is 100% guaranteed to crash when
the "new message popup" shows. The best info I can get, regarding
verbosity, is "Segmentation fault (core dumped)"

please submit the crash report by (double) clicking on it (e.g. using
gnome file manager). Otherwise, we won't be able to process it
efficiently. The .crash files can be found in the /var/crash directory.
