After a quick look, there are still several issues with the 9.04beta - I didn't
especially checked the kernel, but the USB and network don't work.
However I don't use this (old and noisy) PC any more; I've a newer one, with an
Hardy Heron running nicely. So if nobody else is concerned by this bug
Hi Jean,
Unfortunately it seems the kernel team has been unable to address your
bug yet. Could you confirm this issue remains with the latest pre-
release of the upcoming Jaunty 9.04 -
http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/jaunty/beta . Please let us know your
results. Thanks.

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.
There are one of two ways you should be able to test:

I'm opened a new task against the actively developed kernel and am
closing the report against linux-source-2.6.22. Thanks!

Jean, thanks for attaching the files manually.. That script isn't very
sophisticated. It basically failed because it couldn't find your
launchpad cookie. It's not a bug with your system, it's just not a very
robust script. Anyways, I'm reassigning this bug report to the kernel
team. Thanks!

Hi Leann,
I've just tried to install the hardy alpha-2 and the problem is still here. The
kernel-attachment.py script resulted in an error message:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/bugUbuntuClubic/Sata$ ./kernel-attachments.py 153424
Traceback (most recent call last):

Hi Jean,
I know it is an inconvenience to have to attach all the files, but it
really does help our kernel team if they are attached to each report
rather than linking to another location. I actually have a script that
can help:
