Same problem on my machine with the Hardy Heron install CD. The
graphical output is not shown if the TFT is connected to the DVI channel
(blank screen). The log output of /var/log/Xorg.0.log looks OK and if I
connect the display to VGA everything is OK. No changes if I try to set
the Option "CrtcNu

After that the rainbow of flashing colours remains and I can't see gdm.

I'm also seeing similar breakage with the latest Gutsy update. It used
to work fine on Tribe 5 but now I've seen the same rainbowish effects.
I've finally managed to get back into the vesa driver and the resolution
is stuck at 800*600.
I'm attaching the files requested FWIW.

Hi Bryce,
Feisty is fine, as is edgy and dapper. I think that gutsy's default is
to run the live cd with compositing enabled isn't it? If so, I think
that's most likely the problem in this case. I'm surprised that more
people don't have issues.
Cheers

Hi Bryce, I'm happy to do that but how do I access these files from
the live CD session after the screen has blanked out? It doesn't drop

The error doesn't occur with Feisty.

Please attach output from lspci -vvnn and your /var/log/Xorg.0.log. If
possible, a photo or screenshot displaying the graphics corruption issue
could be of value.
Also, does this error occur with Feisty? If not, could you also check
if it existed in the Tribe 5 release?
