Hey guys, i still having this issue, and i don't know how to solve it.
I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z410 with Ubuntu 16.04.

Hi Christopher. I also had a similar issue on my computer at work Lenovo
Z510. But It only happened once. I am waiting for the issue to appear.
The behaviour is similar, after a minute or 2 it simply dropped the
connection. Currently am writing over Wifi and it has not dropped yet,
but if it drops,

I've applied the patch on my Lenovo Z510 (which also has a BCM43142
chip) using dkms (copied the patch into /usr/src/bcmwl-…/patches, edited
the dkms.conf, adding the
n0dwis, if you have a bug in Ubuntu, please file a new report (not make
comments here) following

so your issue may be reviewed and tracked.

Same problem on hp 15-p005ns. When i post my problem people tell me pages with
tutorials for installing driver but my problem is that drivers is installed but
it dont work fine.
If only we had sup of b43 or something similar.
