Hi Rene, do you still have this issue with latest fully updated
intrepid?
Please take into account that gspca modules are being introduced to the
kernel, so the chances are that you don't need to compile it anymore.
Please check the bug #292086, bug #144745 and bug #260918

I tried also version 1.00.18 with and without patch. (click on "read more ..."
to see test result till the end.
Patch version is worse because it even don't start:

To have it work better, I came back to default module from ubuntu (Version
01.00.12), for more than 10 minutes.
but it finally freezed, without message in kern.log

precompiled driver nor with driver compiled from source. gspca driver is
