Yes, they've actually made it usuable just in time.
However, all of your comments are still valid, except about the default size.
The list is still inconsidered, and most of these extensions return too many
results to be usefull.

@Ralf: from what I read on the deskbar-applet list and other places, the
developers had to do a complete refactoring of the code for this
release, which didn't leave much time to get the UI "right", but the
next release will focus more or mostly on UI issues.

Isn't this very much related to all those other usability bugs in the new
version of deskbar?
If need, I don't mind posting separate bug-reports about all usability issues
(besides it launching a window). Lack of intelligent keyboard control comes to
mind, as well do focus and resizing issues.
Thank for the bug. The applet is deskbar, reassigning. The box issue is
fixing in the new version that will be uploaded after the tribe freeze,
the list and icon still need work though
