Sorry I started this thread, but have not followed up. There have been too
many emails, and not enough time. I had subscribed to most of the kde
mailing lists because I was interested in how the kde 4 platform was being
organized. I suppose the kolabs documentation I was looking at did not give

The error is causer because kolab-resource-handlers-0.3.9-20060811-3ubuntu1
explicitly depends on php4 and you have php5 installed.
installing kolab-resource-handlers-0.3.9-20060811-4ubuntu1 solved THIS issue
for me. ( i still havent domesticated kolab though, still trying to
"sudo dpkg-reconfigure kolabd" gives this:
/usr/sbin/dpkg-reconfigure: kolabd is broken or not fully installed
"sudo apt-get install kolab-resource-handlers" gives this:
dpkg: error processing kolab-resource-handlers (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
sorry I forgot to mention that the error occured during an Ubuntu upgrade,
but the upgrade is finished even though the errors occurred. I think a
second attempt to install failed packages solved the problem.
