To be honest--I had forgot about this one--was fixed about part-way thru
Gutsy development. I run the testing branch all the time & have reported
a few bugs in the last year
I just tested with both units running Hardy & with both scanners--other
that the frontend for the HP still scanning a bi
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue
for you? Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release (Hardy Heron)?

I have the same issue with Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn.
My Canon Lide20 is well recognised (self-detected) by Sane, but not working at
all.
I am new in Linux, and coming from Mandriva 2007, because I had already an
issue with my scanner (It work, but didn't stop the ligth tray and risk to
destroy it
