I have the same issue with Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn. My Canon Lide20 is well recognised (self-detected) by Sane, but not working at all. I am new in Linux, and coming from Mandriva 2007, because I had already an issue with my scanner (It work, but didn't stop the ligth tray and risk to destroy it!). I hoped to have better running with Ubuntu, but now it doesn't work at all... I really expect a solution soon.
