Hello David,
Well, I've downloaded the last upstream drivers ('oem-audio-hda-daily-
dkms_0.201306031445~raring1_all.deb') and now the internal microphone
works perfectly!
I've tested the audio output (the notebook speakers), the included

Hello David,
Yeah, I've forgot to do that, but I'm very confident those steps don't
make the mic to work :-/
And ok, I've played with DKMS before and seems easy to work with, so
I'll try that and will come back with a feedback.

Thanks Marcelo,
When looking at the output from 13.04, you seem to have forgotten to
turn up the microphone gain. Also you seem not to have done any
recording test before running alsa-info on 13.04.

Hello David,
I'm attaching both alsa-info text output log, executed in Ubuntu 12.10

Hi,
Could any of you affected by this bug do the following:
1) Boot 12.10, e g from a live-CD if you don't have it installed any more,
confirm that the internal mic is working, then run alsa-info (
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/AlsaInfo ).
2) Boot 13.04, confirm that the internal mic is no lon

System somehow detects 2 mics - Inetrnal Microphone and Microphone.
Alsamixer shows that Microphone volume is 0, but increasing it does not help.
By the way, alsa in 13.04 is glitchy - system sounds come with creaks
and noises.

@Marcelo, so your symptom is different from the original reporter? The
original reporter says that the internal mic does not show up, whereas
you say that the internal mic does show up, but there's no input.
Correct?

Hello David,
Yes, I've put every input at 100% in alsamixer and also within the Sound
configuration application, but the "input level" led indicator does not
show any input. Skype audio test fails to record anything, too.

Sorry to point out the obvious, but have you tried pressing F4 or F5?
Alsamixer by default shows only controls relevant to playback.
