Yes, Qt4 apps work correctly and no change is needed. The problem this
bug is accessing is the lack of appmenu support for Qt5 applications
(the Ubuntu SDK uses Qt5, so therefore it's affected). A fix for this is
ready, now only the formalities remain.

It is only the ubuntu SDK version from which does not have unity integration.
It comes from this ppa which is found from the app tutorial on ubuntu's website:
