Ok, one more try. With the upstream kernel, the wifi works after boot
until the system goes to sleep, after resume, the wifi doesn't work.
However, there are no kernel panics.

I've been testing the upstream kernel fairly intensly without a panic,
so I don't think the bug will manifest itself. I'll keep on testing it
and comment here if this changes.
My wifi doesn't work with the upstream kernel; however, I don't know if
that's to be expected.

I installed v3.8-rc7-raring; however, I am not able to reliably
reproduce this bug. I haven't seen it with this kernel, but It only
happened occasionally before. I think the best I can do is to wait a
week to see if it happens again.
Here is some furthur information:
I am now using ubuntu 12.10,
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.8 kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both
the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages.
