I installed v3.8-rc7-raring; however, I am not able to reliably reproduce this bug. I haven't seen it with this kernel, but It only happened occasionally before. I think the best I can do is to wait a week to see if it happens again.
Here is some furthur information: I am now using ubuntu 12.10, which is a fresh installation. Before that, I was using 11.10 which was upgraded from 11.4 which was upgraded from 10.10. I never had this problem with any of the previous installations. The stack trace I saw from the kernel panic included references to USB. This makes me suspect it is related to a Kingston micro sd to sd memory card adapter that I usually leave plugged in without a micro sd card in it. I've never seen the problem when the adapter isn't plugged in; however, I haven't used the system for any significant amount of time without it. To make my system as similar as possible to when I saw the bug, I'll leave the adapter plugging in for now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1121176 Title: Kernel panic on resume from sleep To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1121176/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
