I had a similar problem. Changing the preview thumbnail to "never"
solved the problem. On an educated guess I removed three ".TIF" files to
a separate directory and turned thumbnails back on. Nautilus hangs
quite religiously if I try to access the directory with the ".TIF" files
in it. Nice and re
closing the bug for now then, feel free to reopen if that happens again

I cannot reproduce the bug anymore either. However, I changed nothing in

I've moved or cleaned all directories, containing lots of files (building
packages - more than 300 Mb of small source files) and the bug disappeared.
I'll try to reproduce it creating a directory full of small files.

Thank you for your bug. It's likely having difficulties to thumbnail one
of the file, might be due to the .svg. Could you move things until
figuring which one is creating the bug?
