Please clarify.
All i did was click on the "Update" button when the Update Manager
announced that and upgrade for Feisty was available. Nonetheless.
the "Update Manager Team" fixed that bug. All my current pkg repos
are now based on feisty.
As for Firefox's problem - found the solution on the
Ubuntu never says nor never has supported mixed repos. The versions you
have in edgy are different than feisty and can and will cause problems.

If it's unsupported, why does Ubuntu offer it without a warning of
sorts in the first place?

Your requests may be connected to Question #7536 I have posted in launchpad.

I've upgraded to feisty on Update Manager; but most of my repository
sources are still set on edgy.
I've upgraded to 2.0.0.4 - now my PDF Download Tool doesn't p
this sounds unreproducible. Lest look for a tester to reproduce this for

Thanks, John:
I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.3; and downloaded the PDF download Plugin
recently. My system still prompts to "save" the document, even with
the "Open PDF" option (in edgy, acroread would have been raised
display the document at that point).
Here's the picasa link:
http://picasaweb.google
acroread was removed from feisty for a few reasons afaik the main reason
is it was no longer being supported. Firefox needs an outside plugin to
handle PDF files. please search for a new plugin to handle them in the
repos (there are a few) and tell me if this fixes it. firefox needs to
save the PDF

Thanks. I just reproduced the problem a few minutes ago. If this
forum is "affiliated" with Firefox' bug forum (or CC:'d as a
courtesy), it'd be great.

Thanks, Silvio:
Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be the case. I don't get the Save
or Open Option, only the "Save" Control Window pops up (per
attachement). I checked the "Filetypes -> Manage" section; but the
PDF format is not on the list.
One more thing - when I upgraded to Fiesty, I seem
Firefox doesn't handle PDF files nativelly, so it will ask to either
Save or Open using an external application, unless it is configured to
always Save PDF files. To change this configuration enter in: Edit ->
Preferences -> Content -> Filetypes -> Manage and remove the PDF form
the list.
