Since it cant be used under xubuntu then it should be removed for
installation iso and if user wants even if it cant be used in Xubuntu
then he can add it if he wishes. And then will be saved a little
bandwidth and maybe some other programm later can be put if enought
space is aquired.

Apparently, the package hasn't ballooned in the main archive as it's
still around ~50k. I'll keep this in mind in case Xubuntu needs the
space (I doubt 100k will make a difference), but at this point, I'm not
going to do anything with it. The package is a Recommends, so it can be
removed from one
Note: A parallel issue affects Thunderbird with its corresponding
dependency in the form of the thunderbird-globalmenu package. That
package similarly creates an Extension in Thunderbird which is not
functional and unusable in any desktop other than Ubuntu's Unity.

that you are turning the issue upside down in your post #5. Firefox
only needs to meet the freedesktop.org specifications for user interface
compatibility. If Unity deviates so as to require a special module to
integrate Firef
No, no it shouldn't. The answer is to finally get this functionality
implemented in Firefox core, and then we wouldn't be having this
discussion because nobody would notice it was even there

also firefox-globalmenu needs libdbusmenu-gtk4 witch installed uses 170kb

This used to not be an issue since the package was under 50k, but the
size seems to be ballooning (150k with Firefox 18), so maybe it should
be a suggests for firefox with Enhances: firefox on the globalmenu
package itself. We can seed it for Ubuntu so Ubuntu isn't affected by
this change.
