I confirm this bug still happens with the installer for 13.04. It is present in
both the Ubuntu and Xubuntu installers. It occurs from both the Live CD and
when choosing to install without trying X/Ubuntu.
This happened on a Lenovo W530 laptop.

Not sure, where I read that there is no alternate disk for Lubuntu
12.10. I found the disk image and could install just fine using the
alternate image. Using alternate provides a workaround. Not sure what
are the differences between alternate and live-installer.
