I confirm this bug still happens with the installer for 13.04. It is present in both the Ubuntu and Xubuntu installers. It occurs from both the Live CD and when choosing to install without trying X/Ubuntu. This happened on a Lenovo W530 laptop.
Workaround: Click "Quit" and confirm. Restart the installer, it will proceed normally. Logs attached from my last Xubuntu install.
