remastersys is not support software in ubuntu.
For remastering desktop images please use either official build-infrastructure
projects which are opensource:
lp:ubuntu-cdimage & lp:livecd-rootfs.
Or you can try using ubuntu-defaults-builder for a simplier way to remaster
images
