First of all thanks to Ray for his workaround, it does work. I remaster ubuntu live-DVDs with a lot of engineering tools for about 1000 engineering students at RMIT University. I know of other academics who do a similar thing. The cycle of remaster-install is vital to us and gets many new ubuntu users. It is surprising that Canonical do not make the remaster software a key part of the software they support. So ... please upgrade the priority as it will help us and many students.
