I'm also effected by this bug - there are 2 workarounds I'm using:
1) CTRL + W wil show all open windows.
2) ALT + F2 then typing unity --replace will restart Unity and always
fixes the problem.
There are many different problematic scenarios, which only effect
LibreOffice. They mainly occur when
The only workaround I've found so far is the keyboard shortcut >
Super+W, which brings up all windows (maximised and minimised). You
then need to find the LibreOffice one amongst them.
