WORKAROUND: sudo echo acpiphp >> /etc/modules
Modify /etc/default/grub to have:

If I start with the card plugged in, insertion and removal of USB2.0 devices
work fine.
If I insert a USB 3.0 device, nothing is visible in syslog.
If I insert the same USB 3.0 device i

(had to find a Windows note-book, while I'm running Ubuntu 12.04/64 on a Lenovo

I'm pretty sure the latest nec/renesas firmware released in june/july 2012
fixes part of this bug. Since I upgraded the firmware of my NEC/Renesas cards,
I can now observe hot-plugging functionality *only* for connected usb devices,
but not for the usb3 expresscard. I did not test just before th
