Hello,
my box booted once in ten tries (amd64). It didn't show garbled paths,
but it didn't like my xfs partitions. Sometimes it was /home, sometimes
/var.
Your patch worked in the first try (I'll update tomorrow if it works in
every boot) but being able to reboot is a step in the right direction
Yes sbodo, changing RAMRUN and RAMLOCK doesn't always help. My box
didn't want to boot today. It took me like 10 reboots. (BTW, grub2 also
doesn't help at all. Why is it so sllloowww?)
Is there a way to disable event-driven services and go back to serial
(one after another) service startup?

Hello. Can you post your shell script? mountall sucks in a way I can't
stand it anymore:
* My box doesn't boot anymore
* When it does "mount" says var is mounted in /dev/.var (mtab has
wrong/outdated info)
* etc, etc, etc...
Thanks!
