In 14.04 when I set screen brightness to 0 the screen would go
completely dark, which was extremely convenient for me. Now that I've
upgraded to 16.04 the screen is still on even at the minimum setting.

I'd be concerned that a user might choose an inappropriate desktop
wallpaper and I'd have no way to prevent it from being displayed to
everyone who uses the computer, so as admin I'd want to be able to
switch off the feature of showing the selected user's wallpaper on
LightDM and instead only show
The App Menu should be in the Title Bar. When the window is maximized
the Title Bar is merged with the panel so the App Menu would naturally
be merged with the panel.

I wasn't aware at the time that a lens can do that. However, it would still be
helpful if there was a less hackish way to implement things like back and
forward buttons. That new Applications lens implemented them as items in the
results, which doesn't look right. As to tha
I Funguloids is going to remain broken, then why bother including it? If
it is not fixed it should be removed.

The problem being raised here is that people who don't want to see certain
things and aren't searching for them still find them popping up on their
desktop. Until PornView and any other apps one might find offensive stop
popping up on the desktops of unsuspecting users there is a problem.
The navigation pane is unnecessary, wasteful, and ugly. All of its
features can be implemented via other means. For Current Activity there
could be a panel that appears at the bottom or the top when stuff is
going on with a progressbar for overall progress and a button to expand

Pretty much the same, except on Karmic 32bit. Also, Nautilus and Totem
seem to recognize it as a data CD that has no label, and yet it isn't
auto-mounted. VLC works, when I manually switch to the location where
the DVD is mounted.

Right now Nautilus seems to be using my user-name for ~, while the
Places menu uses Home Folder. I think for consistency's sake it would be
better to mount or link to ~ under the name Home, let's say
/tmp/username/Home would link to /home/username. Use /tmp/username/Home
instead of /home/username a

After the upgrade to Intrepid, only ogre-plugins-
cgprogrammanager_1.4.9-1_i386.deb remains from Debian Sid. All the rest

Empathy allows to enable more than one language for the spell-checker at
once. when English and Hebrew are simultaneously enabled, English
doesn't work. English does work when it's enabled simultaneously with
