It won't even hibernate. When I run pm-hibernate, the screen goes blank
for a second or two, and then it flashes the following on the screen:

I tested trusty-desktop-amd64 dated Nov 12, and it has the same problem.
I could not test 13.04 without checking "Enable Legacy Option ROMs" in the BIOS.
When I did that, 13.04 had the same problem.
So I enabled Legacy Boot in the BIOS and both 13.04 (using legacy boot) and
13.10 (using UEFI whil
I never ran anything other than Saucy on this machine. Because I was
testing UEFI issues, I was trying to work with with as pure a UEFI
system as I could. Raring live usb had troubles with X working when I
turned off legacy drivers, so I tried saucy pre-release and it worked
and installed just fine
I upgraded the BIOS from A14 to A16, and it still behaves the same way.

I tell it to suspend and it does, and the power light flashes.
I press the space bar, and then the power light turns of

This has happened multiple times. I suspend when I leave work. When I
arrive in the morning the power light shows it is suspended, but when I
press a key on the keyboard to wake up, it takes a few seconds, and then
the system reboots. I don't know if the system has ever
suspen
I can reproduce the problem with a Natty Live CD, but cannot reproduce
it when testing with a recent Oneiric daily build Live CD.

regarding the user corner problem, I found that if I delete the contents
of /var/lib/ebox-usercorner/sids then it works again.
When a user logs out, their file in that space is usually deleted. I'm not
exactly sure the problem, but it was giving me errors (in
/var/log/ebox-usercorner/error.log)

As of Lucid beta2, you still cannot change a UID (well, you can change
it but it has no effect). If you can't actually change the UID, then

In a clean gutsy install, my normal user is not able to add a printer. I
resorted to
% sudo /usr/share/system-config-printer/system-config-printer.py
in order to do it. It sure seems a problem to me in gutsy. BTW, this was
adding a network (JetDirect) printer for what its worth.
